Vision Infographic2Vision Youth Café opened its doors on January 5th 2007 as a response to a consultation with young people living in the area who wanted something to do in Towcester. We soon found that young people from surrounding villages and towns were also attracted by what Vision had to offer.

The Vision for Vision started a few years earlier and grew from an idea to reality through a lot of determination and hard work. A group of young people supported by an Area Youth Worker, committed themselves to establishing a venue for young people. Community consultation confirmed that a permanent place for young people was needed. We set out looking for premises and found our venue right in the heart of Towcester youth space. We succeeded in raising the funds to get Vision off the ground and be the first youth café in the county, it was a new and exciting idea and we were going to have to work really hard to keep the community behind us.

Since then the team of staff, volunteers and youth steering group have continued to develop the services offered by Vision, extending provision, activities and projects for young people giving 11- 19 year olds somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. A chilled out supportive environment for young people Vision aims to be accessible to all young people and be a positive distraction from anti-social behaviour.

We offer a vast range of activities from team-building games and cookery workshops to break dancing and aerosol art on our very own legal art wall to. Activities, workshops and taster sessions continue at our free drop-in every Wednesday and Thursday so why not check it out. Check out the information boards in Vision for projects and special events.
